Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows expansion coming September 17th for FREE
Looks like Yacht Club Games will be hooking gamers up with a free update to the popular 8bit retro throwback title Shovel Knight. If you own Shovel Knight on any of the available platforms, the update will be available free of charge starting September 17th. Plague of Shadows allows players to play as Plague Knight, one of the bosses Shovel Knight encounters during the game. The update will include all new levels for the Plague Knight as well as a brand new challenge mode thrown in to boot. In order to access Plague of Shadows, players will have to have finished the standard Shovel Knight game. Apparently, Yacht Club Games will also include a cheat code to skip right over to the Plague Knight portions of the game for those who have lost their save files or switched to a new platform.
