Microsoft Shutting Down Lionhead Studios, Cancels Fable Legends

A bit of sad news today as hit the gaming industry. Lionhead Studios, the creators of Black & White and the Fable franchise, is in talks to be shut down by Microsoft. The reasoning behind the closure and cancellation are unknown at this time, but I’m sure sales and the decline of the Fable franchise may have something to do with it. I have personally played Fable Legends and it wasn’t looking so hot, so that part does not surprise me. However, seeing the whole studio shut down is disappointing to hear and we all hope the employees of the UK studio are snatched up quickly and gain new employment soon. I am a big fan of the Fable series with Fable 2 being my favorite exclusive Xbox 360 title. Huge bummer indeed.
