Patreon Content Summary for July 2017

The Gaming Outsider has been striving to create better bonus content for our loyal listeners who support us on Patreon each month. We feel that your support should earn you a little something extra in order to make your contribution feel worthy of your money. While we promise to deliver at least two extra pieces of content each month, getting as much bonus content to you guys as we possibly can is something we strive for. Here’s a preview of the content that we were able to deliver to subscribers for the month of July.

Retro Reminisce: How Retro Can you Go?

In this episode of our Patreon exclusive monthly retro gaming podcast, Josh and Justin explore how far back in gaming history can they go before they stop enjoying the games they’re playing. Our game of the month is Bust-A-Groove for the original Sony Playstation. We also discuss the new Atari Box and give a 15 year anniversary ode to WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos.

Games That Aren’t For Us: Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust

We launched a new bonus podcast this month titled “Games That Aren’t For Us” where we explore notoriously bad games suggested by our community to see if they really are as bad their reputation perceives them. This month our Patreon subscriber Robby Weet recommended Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 to us. Come listen to us suffer through the terrible sex jokes and janky gameplay.

Video Game Summit 2017 Live Show

Scott and community members Chris Owens and Chris Behrensmeier head over to Chicago’s Video Game Summit expo that’s dedicated to classic video games. We were granted booth space as an exhibitor this year where we promoted The Gaming Outsider and sought out video game goodies for ourselves. While attending, the boys recorded a live episode of their experiences at the show. This episode is another fun Patreon exclusive.

Early Access: Interview with Zen Studio’s Mel Kirk

Scott had the pleasure of interviewing Zen Studio’s Vice President of Publishing Mel Kirk. The two discussed the upcoming Pinball FX3 while also discussing the newly released Infinite Minigolf for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch. This episode was early access to our Patreon subscribers for one week before we released it to the public.

E3 2017 Swag Giveaway

The whole crew attended E3 2017 this year and grabbed a lot of cool swag in the process. For our Patreon subscribers of all tiers, you had the opportunity to get a hold of some of this swag. We listed off a collection of E3 swag and shipped them out to our loyal Patreon subscribers in a first come, first serve basis. Just wanting to share a bit of our E3 experience with our listeners!
