Pokemon GO allows the catching of Pokemon in real life

Pokemon fans who ever dreamed of catching and battling wild Pokemon in real life are in for a treat. Nintendo has just announced a new mobile game titled Pokemon GO that with use GPS technology from Niantic Labs to allow users to hunt for Pokemon in your real life surroundings as sort of an AR scavenger hunt. Using the GPS from your phone, the app will lead players to locations in your area where wild Pokemon may be hiding. Players can catch and collect Pokemon, trade and battle with other players in their area, and also participate in Pokemon battle events with other players similar to an MMO event that players jump into and work together in order to complete.

A small wrist band device called Pokemon GO Plus will also be available that will connect to your smart phone via Bluetooth which gives the player vibration alerts when something in their area is happening. Players can also catch Pokemon using this device. No pricing details are available at the moment.
