Playstation 4 system update 3.0 launches tomorrow, Sept. 30th
Sony has a new system update launching tomorrow that will add a lot of new features to the Playstation 4 console. The update was in beta for a bit but it seems the update is ready to roll out to all PS4 users. Update 3.0 will add a slew of new features and functionality to the console that are more than welcomed. Here is a quick list of some of the new features to expect out of the update:
- A Playstation Plus app will be included on the menu bar to easily access all content pertaining to PS+ without having to dig through the Playstation Store.
- The ability to share video clips directly to Twitter, similar to the screenshots feature.
- YouTube will be added to the available services to live stream to thanks to the new YouTube Gaming service.
- Screenshots can now be saved in PNG format with less compression.
- Communities feature will include a forum-like community to discuss games and gaming related topics.
- Stickers will be added to chat features, which are essentially emojis based on Playstation properties.
- Events will be a new hub that notifies players about activities and live streams surrounding all of your favorite games.
