Final Fantasy IX Coming to PC, iOS and Android Soon
Square Enix is delivering some more Final Fantasy love to fans in the form of an HD port of the once Playstation exclusive Final Fantasy IX. The announcement came this week along with a short trailer showing the game running on new hardware. Screenshots were also released as well. The game will sport HD resolutions, an achievement system, high-speed mode, an auto-save feature and more. No release date or price has been announced but I would expect the game to hit digital storefronts early into 2016 for around $15.99 or higher. We still do not know what the PC requirements are but Square Enix have shared with us the recommended devices needed to play on iOS and Android:
iOS – iPhone 5S or newer, iPad gen 4 or newer, iPod Touch 6th gen, and iPad Mini 2 or higher running iOS 7.0 or higher.
Android – Capable device running Android 4.1 or higher
Check out the trailer and screenshots below. Final Fantasy IX is one of my favorite games in the series and I love to see it making a comeback for newer generations to enjoy.
