The Gaming Outsider’s Best Game of 2015 – Ori and the Blind Forest
Announced during episode 62 of The Gaming Outsider, the official pick for best video game of 2015 goes to Ori and the Blind Forest, Moon Studio’s Xbox One and PC exclusive adventure platformer. After much discussion, we selected Ori as our game of the year for many reasons. Ori and the Blind Forest has some of the most beautiful imagery and art direction found in 2015. The gameplay is challenging, tight and deep rooted in classic game design found in such classics as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and the Metroid series. When it comes to narrative in 2015, there are no other games that deliver such a beautiful and emotional story as Ori and the Blind Forest presents to its players. Being such a great game wrapped in a budget price of only $20, Ori and the Blind Forest seemed like the best choice for us. Congrats to Moon Studios and Microsoft Studios for crafting our favorite game of 2015!
