Batman: Return to Arkham compilation remastered using Unreal Engine 4

Warner Bros. Interactive finally put the remaster rumor to rest and officially announced Batman: Return to Arkham, a compilation of the two award-winning Rocksteady developed Batman Arkham titles released last generation. Both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City will be included in this package. Unfortunately for us, WB strangely omitted Arkham Origins from the package, which was instead developed by WB Montreal, which definitely deserves to stand alongside the other two. Both games will be fully remastered using Unreal Engine 4 and will revamp the character models, lighting and more. We have no clue if the framerate will be improved but I’m assuming that’s going to happen too.

Return to Arkham will be a great package for those who have not experienced these two amazing Batman titles. The fact that WB will be putting a lot more effort into the remaster instead of simply raising the resolution and framerate is very encouraging for fans who may want to return. I personally own all of these games on PC so I’m wondering if the retooled Unreal Engine 4 versions will show up on PC after the Arkham Knight mess. The compilation will release on Playstation 4 and Xbox One on July 29th for $49.99. Check out the trailer below.
