The GO Cast’s Live Stream for Josh Ehresmann’s Widow
Since the inception of The Gaming Outsider, our number one priority was developing a community of like-minded gamers. Ideally, those gamers would be very close-knit and respectful of everyone. You’d be hard-pressed to find a bigger proponent of our community than Mr. Josh Ehresmann. Josh would play online with anyone at any time, and interacted with members from the GO group, many on a daily basis. I think many would consider him a close personal friend, despite not ever meeting him in person. His personality was the exact type of spirit we strive for to this day.
Gentle Giant
The Gaming Outsider crew met Josh on multiple occasions, and he always put a smile on our faces. He an his wife even opened their home to me when I was visiting their home town for a convention. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more genuinely caring and selfless person.
Sadly, Josh was taken from us unexpectedly this past month. To say it was a shock would be an understatement and gutted so many of us. But no one was more affected than his loving wife, Alisha.
With that in mind, The GO crew is attempting to raise funds to help Alisha during the holiday season. Thursday, December 23rd, I and other members of the GO cast will be hosting a live stream on Twitch. We are asking members of the community to donate what they can to Alisha to help cover any remaining expenses and also allow her to at least try to have a pleasant holiday season.
Two Ways to Give
The Gaming Outsider will be accepting donations via PayPal. You may send anything you are willing to contribute to the following e-mail address: scott@thegamingoutsider.com. Every dime we receive will be sent directly to Alisha; we will not be keeping anything for ourselves.
Alternatively, if you feel more comfortable going through GoFundMe, you can find Alisha’s donation page here. Keep in mind that GoFundMe keeps a percentage of everything donated. That’s why we offered a direct place to donate funds that will go to Alisha 100%.
Thanks in Advance
We really appreciate your consideration in doing what we can, as a community, for a grieving widow experiencing her first Christmas without her husband. A husband that is one of the sweetest men we’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. We wish you all a very happy holiday season and a Happy New Year!
