The Beast Unleashed: Chronicles of the Wolf Launches Summer 2025

Castlevania fans! Gear-gated/Metroidvania fans! The time has come! Publisher Pqube and PixelHeart and developer Migami Games must have heard your cries because this summer, they’re bringing us Chronicles of the Wolf. Fans of all consoles rejoice as Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox, and Steam players will get to enjoy what promises to be a contender for top 10 lists. Switch and PS5 players will also have a physical copy available.

As Mateo Lombardi, players will begin as an apprentice with asperations of becoming a True Knight of the Rose Cross Order. Puzzles and enemies galore. Multiple level designs, night or day, rain or shine, you will have plenty to do through your journey.

My thoughts

I am excited! My renewed love of gear gated games after Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (see Zack’s review here) has put me on the lookout for a new games to enjoy in that genre. This one comes with a lot of Castlevania nostalgia which is sure to scratch the itch of gamers across the globe. I will be counting down the days until Summer for when I can enjoy Chronicles of the Wolf.
