SEGA Fully Unveils ‘Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds’ During PlayStation’s State of Play

I love this franchise and I love racing games. Imagine my excitement when Sega of America revealed Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds during the State of Play. Join Sonic and all his friends (and enemies) through a plethora of course options. Race to the finish and win the championship! Weapons and power ups await us as Sonic Racing: Crosswinds will be the talk of the Internet when it launches. Currently only a wishlist item for all major consoles and PC, stay tuned to their website for updates! The deluxe edition will entice the real fans with their offering of a Season Pass, early access, and “Sonic Prime Playable Characters.”

What You Can Expect

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds brings back courses that include land, air, and sea terrain as well as the never-before seen Travel Rings feature that affects the race in real time by transporting racers to all new CrossWorlds during the race. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds also offers the largest roster of characters in any Sonic racing game, as well as a wide variety of customizable vehicles. Players can mix and match vehicle parts, powers, and abilities to create a customized racing experience suited to their gameplay style.

My Thoughts

It’s Sonic! It’s Racing! Heck yeah, I’m buying this one! The variety of tracks and characters, some exciting new features, and the offering of a customized experience suited to my gameplay style sounds like Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is right up my alley.
