Development studio and artistic developer Art of Play Interactive with publisher King Features brings us the classic comic hero in an arcade brawler style. This new title in the Beat-’em-Up genre brings along a beautiful art style that grabs your attention. The gorgeous hand-drawn environment brings the comic to life as we defend Bengalla against piracy, injustice, and greed. “The feared pirates of the Singh Brotherhood are battling for power and threatening The Phantom‘s legacy.”

My Thoughts
I’m getting vibes like Streets of Rage and Comix Zone had a baby. Except the baby is far cooler and more beautiful than both. I wouldn’t call The Phantom an obscure character but, unless you count the movie from 1996 starring Billy Zane, The Phantom does not get a lot of attention. The beat-’em-up arcade brawler is the perfect vessel to bring this character to our consoles and PC! Fourteen levels sounds lovely! I could play one issue of a comic series per day (or more than one, if time allows). Sign me up!
