Atari Announces March 25 Release Date for Breakout Beyond, a Radical Reimagining of the Legendary Classic
The reimagining of the classic Breakout game for the Atari is being refreshed and reimagined with a literal twist: Horizontal Play!
Atari brings us Breakout Beyond from Choice Provisions. Arriving on March 25 for PC, Switch, PS4 & PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Atari VCS, Breakout Beyond brings the exciting gameplay of the original with an impressive 72 levels to keep us entertained for hours!
A good friend of The GO Cast, Grant Henry of Stemage and Metroid Metal, supplied the music for Breakout Beyond! What more could we ask for?!?
What We Can Expect
- Unlockable endless mode with an online global leaderboard
- 72 challenging levels that will put players’ brick-breaking skills to the test

My Thoughts
Atari keeps killing it with the reimagined nostalgia! The colors, sounds, and action of a horizontal Breakout game drew me in. The trailer all but sealed the deal. Then Scott says, “The music is by Grant!” You couldn’t guarantee a purchase more certainly than telling me that somebody we know played a major role in its creation. Sign me up for Breakout Beyond!
