Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 & 4 Available July 11
Activision announced yesterday the return to the legendary franchise with Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater 3 + 4. Both games are in one collection revamped with more skaters, new parks, more tricks, more music, and a whole lot more. Working in collaboration with Tony Hawk himself, developer Iron Galaxy Studios is helming this remake, after the closure of Vicarious Visions who helmed 1+2.

The game is available for pre-order on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and 5, Steam, Battle.net, Microsoft PC Store, and Nintendo Switch.

Xbox Wire also announced that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3&4 will be available DAY ONE on Game Pass. Fans of these classic games will be excited to have this part of Xbox’s subscription service.

As a long time Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater fan, I’m thrilled to see THPS 3+4 getting the remake treatment, especially after the fantastic work done on the 1+2 remake. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 introduced the the revert, which completely changed how the combos worked, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 was the first game in the series to drop the 2-minute time limits in favor of open-ended objectives. However the press release mentions “streamlined goals” and the “Epic 2-minute format,” which makes me wonder if this version of THPS4 is getting reworked to fit the classic timer-based structure. While it might disappoint fans who loved the open ended progression, I’m still excited to see how it plays out. And hey, it’s coming to Xbox Game Pass on Day One! If Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 is anything like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, then we’re in for another excellent revival.
