‘PHi: The Broken Strings’ Coming on Steam on March 27th

Indian-based developer and publisher Kyrel Games is currently working on PHi: The Broken Strings with a planned release window of Q4 of 2026 on PS5, Switch & PC. You play as a mysterious puppet by the name of PHi in this 3D puzzle platformer. It also promises a “deeply woven and relatable story”. The game is being compared to Little Nightmares & Jugglers Tale, and you can read more about this title below.

What Does It Mean to Feel?

In PHi: The Broken Strings, emotions aren’t just told—they are experienced. A lost boy awakens in a strange puppet world, drawn forward by a force he doesn’t understand. The walls creak with whispers of forgotten memories, the puzzles reflect struggles of the heart, and every step forward is a test—one that demands more than just skill, but understanding.

As he ventures deeper, guided by a voice he can’t fully trust, he begins to question: Is this world shaping him, or is he shaping it?

Each level in PHi, isn’t just a series of obstacles—it’s a journey through emotions. You’ll feel the weight of sorrow in an environment that seems to trap you in its silence. You’ll sense the anxiety of an ever-changing labyrinth where nothing is certain. But as you progress, you’ll also experience hope, resilience, and the quiet comfort of nostalgia.

This isn’t just a game—it’s an exploration of the very emotions that make us human.

Our Thoughts

I’m always on board for anything that resembles Limbo, which was a favorite title from my early days with The Gaming Outsider. I’m particularly intrigued by the promise of not just being told a story, but actually “feeling” it. This title is officially on my radar, and I’ll definitely be supporting this one by Kickstarter once I’m able to. Check out the trailer below.
