The Occultist is an upcoming first person horror game brought to us by developer DALOAR and published by Daedalic Entertainment. Arriving in 2026, The Occultist will be available on PC, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
In The Occultist, players take on the role of Alan Rebels as he embarks on a perilous journey to the mysterious island of Godstone, seeking answers about his father’s unexplained disappearance. Armed with his mystical pendulum, Alan must navigate the island’s fog-laden streets and unsettling structures which were once the domain of a notorious cult infamous for its dark rituals and disturbing experiments.

My Thoughts
The Occultist looks like an Edgar Allen Poe story come to life, based on the trailer. Puzzles, stealth, beautiful looking graphics, and a soundtrack that puts me right in the horror mood means The Occultist will be on my list of highly anticipated games in 2026.
