Section 13 breaches Future Games Show
Kakao Games and Ocean Drive Studio have unveiled a fresh look at Section 13, a twin-stick shooter set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 5, and PC with its full 1.0 release in May 2025. This latest showcase debuted at the HR-approved 2025 Future Games Show, offering players another glimpse into the game’s intense, action-packed world. To further immerse fans, a special Section 13 experience will be featured at PAX East this May.
No civilians were harmed in the making of this trailer—only trained personnel who willingly signed liability waivers. Section 13 throws players into a high-stakes battle against feral, otherworldly threats, where teamwork is encouraged but not mandatory. For those daring enough, solo play offers an even greater challenge, while co-op mode allows up to two additional ‘volunteers’ to assist in the fight. As always, SCP expects nothing but peak performance—failure is not an option, and the consequences might just be permanent.

My Thoughts
The “top-down roguelike” description was what initially caught my attention with Section 13. Then I watched the trailer! The graphics are in the style of Fortnite but with the added element of blood effects. The impressive action sequences make this game look like challenging fun.
