Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon coming to Steam, iOS and Android
Developed by Finnish studio Cornfox & Bros. and published by the same, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon is a cooperative action dungeon crawler set to release in Q2 2025 on Steam, iOS, and Android. The release coincides with the 15th anniversary of the studio, marking a celebratory expansion of the Oceanhorn franchise onto new platforms.
Inspired by 16-bit arcade classics, the game supports couch co-op for up to four players or can be played solo by controlling all characters. Players choose from four hero classes — Knight, Huntress, Grandmaster, and Mage — each offering unique play styles and abilities. The game features randomized level modifiers and stat variations tied to zodiac signs, ensuring a fresh experience with each run.
Set in a world fragmented after the fall of the Kingdom of Arcadia, players descend into the mysterious Chronos Dungeon in search of the Paradigm Hourglass, a powerful relic said to alter history. Whether you’re a seasoned player or a newcomer to dungeon crawlers, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon promises accessible, replayability, and engaging gameplay for all ages.

My Thoughts
Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon caught my attention because it has the very inviting look of the classic JRPG but it’s not a JRPG! Dungeon Crawlers appeal to me more than JRPGs do. Throw in the top-down view with intriguing characters and story and you can count me in. I’m especially intrigued by the “also available on Android and iOS.” Does that tell me that those versions are a shorter game? Are those versions different from the version available on Steam?
