Next-gen RPG Etheria: Restart confirms June 5 launch date

Developed and published by XD Games, Etheria: Restart is set to release on June 5, 2025, across iOS, Android, PC, and Steam. During a global pre-launch livestream, XD Games shared exciting new details about the next-gen RPG, including the start of a final closed beta on May 8th. Set in a stunning digital metropolis, players will step into the role of Hyperlinkers — elite warriors who command powerful sentient beings called Animus in stylish, tactical battles.

Among the big reveals was the debut of Freya, a new SSR Animus wielding chilling frost magic. With her elegant design, devastating area-control abilities, and a story shaped by isolation and resilience, Freya is poised to be a standout both narratively and in competitive play. Other major features unveiled include Smart Shells (tactical AI battle support), Origin Gear (deep character customization), and revamped Instance Dungeons offering more cinematic and challenging PvE experiences.

Competitive players will have plenty to dive into as well. Etheria: Restart introduces Real-Time Arena (RTA), a live PvP mode featuring a ranked ladder, seasonal rewards, and tactical battles that demand sharp decision-making. XD Games also announced the Etheria World Summit (EWS), an ambitious global tournament circuit that aims to solidify the game’s place in the RPG esports scene. To help guide players, XD is partnering with renowned RPG strategist HellHades, who will create content like tier lists, team-building guides, and meta analyses.
