Midnight Murder Club’s Open House Weekend – May 2-5
Midnight Murder Club is a darkly comedic multiplayer shooter set in the eerie, pitch-black rooms of Wormwood Manor. Up to six players on PlayStation can hunt each other using only a flashlight and a revolver, relying on light, sound, and nerves to survive. The game blends tension and hilarity, especially as players struggle to navigate and shoot in total darkness.
This weekend, from Friday, May 2nd at 10am ET to Monday, May 5th at 10am ET, PlayStation users can experience the full game for free via the Guest Pass Edition, with matchmaking, private/public game access, and all five game modes unlocked—no paying host required. This special Open House Weekend is made possible by the mysterious in-game patron, Maximilian Wormwood.
Five Game Modes
- Free-for-All – A timed solo battle for the most kills.
- Thief in the Night – Teams of two collect valuable skulls for the win.
- Team Deathmatch – Classic team-based elimination.
- Head Hunters – Two hunters chase four players seeking to destroy demonic totems.
- Wildcards – Players use game-altering cards for unpredictable chaos and unlock new ones as rewards.
My Thoughts
There’s something amusing, and tense, about stumbling through darkness with nothing but a flashlight and a six-shooter, especially when your friends are just as lost as you. Midnight Murder Club captures that perfect mix of chaos and comedy, the kind of game where even losing can leave you laughing. A weekend freebie on PlayStation makes this well worth diving into the madness with friends. Check out the trailer!
