Decipher geographical conspiracies in the Richat Structure
Richat Structure, developed and published by Alawar, is a strategic excavation simulator coming soon to Steam. Set in the real-world location of the Eye of the Sahara in Mauritania, the game challenges players to lead a scientific expedition deep beneath the surface. What starts as a standard research mission quickly unravels into a descent into unspeakable horrors. Players must guide their crew, choose roles such as archaeologist, biologist, or miner, and navigate the expedition’s path while preserving both light and sanity—your only true allies. Wishlist Richat Structure now on Steam to stay updated on this intense and mysterious journey.
What We Can Expect
- Explore the Depths: Dig mines, control the direction of excavations, build laboratories and research modules. You choose where to dig next and what resources to invest in the expedition.
- Let There Be Light: Darkness affects people, workers lose efficiency, and sometimes even their sanity. Keep the lights on to maintain control and protect yourself from whatever may be lurking in the depths.
- Unearth the Unspeakable: You won’t just encounter common things like coal and clay, you’ll also discover strange rock formations that defy classification. Send your findings to the lab to advance along the research tree.
- Keep Your Wits About You: The deeper you dig, the more people change. They start speaking in riddles and acting strangely. The head of the expedition will have to choose between results and the safety of the team.
- Choose Your Approach: Archaeologist, biologist, or miner- each character unlocks unique advantages and research approaches. Choose your style and adapt to the challenges of the expedition.
- The Final Revelation: Apart from rare rocks, there are answers in the depths of the Richat Structure that can shatter your perception of the world. Unravel the mystery of the ancient formation. Is it a natural phenomenon or something greater?
My Thoughts
There isn’t even a trailer available yet, and I already want to play Richat Structure. With themes of science, archaeology, biology, mining, and possibly even science fiction, there’s a lot to be excited about. Based on the “What We Can Expect” list, Richat Structure is shaping up to be a strong contender for my Must-Play Games list. While no release date has been announced as of this writing, I’m hoping it will arrive in 2025! If we get additional information or a trailer, we’ll be sure to share an update.
