Nordic Game Goes Live on Steam with Awards Show and Indie Game Showcase
From May 19th to May 23rd, Nordic Game expands its reach by launching its renowned games industry event on Steam for the first time. Traditionally held at Slagthuset in Malmö, this digital showcase will feature nearly 70 titles from both past and present participants of the Nordic Game showcase. The event runs on PC via Steam and includes the Nordic Game Awards livestream on Thursday, May 22nd at 12:30pm Eastern time marking the first time the ceremony will be streamed globally on the platform. The celebration offers fans developer talks, behind-the-scenes content, and potential discounts on select games.
Jacob Riis, Program Director and Executive Producer at Nordic Game, emphasized the opportunity this brings to share the talent and creativity of Nordic developers with a worldwide audience. Beginning at 13:00 Eastern on Monday, May 19th, fans are invited to explore the event’s rich programming, culminating with NG25 Spring in Malmö from May 20th-23rd.

My Thoughts
Well, this looks like fun! I’m already a fan of awards shows, but make it about video games and I’m definitely tuning in. Check out the trailer below! I think I even caught a glimpse of my current Game of the Year, Karma: The Dark World (current because, well, it’s only May). I’ve really taken a liking to the indie games available on Steam lately. If you’re a fan of video games, especially on PC, this might be an event worth checking out!
