Capcom Confirms Sci-Fi Action Game PRAGMATA™ for 2026
During today’s PlayStation State of Play, Capcom revealed a new trailer for Pragmata, its upcoming sci-fi action-adventure game set to launch in 2026. Developed and published by Capcom, Pragmata will be available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The latest trailer, titled “First Contact,” introduced players to the game’s eerie lunar setting, dual protagonists, and fast-paced, strategic gameplay mechanics. Set on a seemingly abandoned moon research station, the story follows astronaut Hugh and the android Diana, who must team up to escape the clutches of a rogue artificial intelligence. In a unique twist, Pragmata allows players to control both characters simultaneously in a single-player experience, incorporating hacking elements to enhance combat and puzzle-solving.

A dual-character control system where players guide both Hugh and Diana simultaneously.
-
Strategic, hack-based combat mechanics that add depth and variety to encounters.
-
A haunting lunar setting filled with mystery, hostile AI, and futuristic tech.
-
Rich narrative themes centered on trust, survival, and the bond between human and machine.
My Thoughts
The trailer for Pragmata really stuck with me. In a sea of impressive reveals, this was the one that surprised me the most. During our State of Play coverage, Zack pointed out that the game was originally announced long ago, but this was actually my first time hearing about it. Seeing Capcom’s name attached instantly gave the project more weight and credibility. I’ve already wishlisted it and will be counting down the days until 2026 and then again when the official release date is announced. If you haven’t watched the trailer yet, I highly recommend checking it out.
