The haunting legend of the Beast of Gévaudan comes alive in Chronicles of the Wolf, a gothic action-platformer developed by Migami Games and published by PQube and PixelHeart. Launching on June 19th, 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC (via Steam), the game also features physical editions for Switch and PS5. A free demo is currently available on Steam.

The 16-bit-inspired visuals transport me right back to my youth, but it’s the modern voice acting and immersive sound design that really make the experience feel current-gen. I especially loved the clean leveling screen and how clearly it showed the impact of each item on your stats.
