Split Fiction Comes to Switch 2

EA’s very popular co-op adventure, Split Fiction, is available on Nintendo Switch 2 as a launch title.

It Still Takes Two on the 2 Today!

One of the best games to come out of the first half of 2025 can be played on Nintendo’s new flagship console. In case you have been under a rock for the last few months, this is a must-play title for anyone that qualifies with two requirements:

  1. Has a game platform that can play modern games
  2. Has a friend

GameShare will enable Nintendo Switch 2 owners to invite another player over a local wireless connection using just one copy of the game, even with original Nintendo Switch users. GameChat will also allow players to easily communicate and collaborate online by using the system’s built-in microphone and connecting the Nintendo Switch 2 Camera or USB camera to their system for live video.

Hazelight Studios‘ signature Friend’s Pass feature allows players to have a friend join them online even if that friend doesn’t own a copy of the game. Crossplay functionality allows players to play together regardless of their system with an EA account. You can learn more about the Friend’s Pass and Crossplay in this official blog, or check out the handy chart below:

Lots of Love to GO Around

This is a current game of the year contender for a lot of the GO team. I’m personally playing through it with my brother who lives in another state, and laughing my ass off at every turn. I can only imagine the chaos and delight that would be found from playing couch co-op. Check out Scott’s glowing review right here.

Split Fiction on Switch 2 sells for $49.99 on the Nintendo eShop. While you can buy a physical case from a brick and mortar store, it is only a “code in the box” with no physical cartridge inside.
