Nightdive Announces Physical Release of Turok Trilogy Bundle

In another win for physical media, Atari Inc. and Nightdive Studios have announced that the Turok Trilogy Bundle will receive a physical release this October on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The trilogy — which includes Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, and Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion — is a critically acclaimed set of classics, best remembered for their popularity on the Nintendo 64 in the late ’90s. This release marks a rare opportunity for fans and collectors to own the full remastered saga in physical form.

I AM TUROK!

The Turok Trilogy Bundle compiles three iconic first-person shooters from the late ’90s, originally launched on Nintendo 64 and PC, now remastered with enhanced graphics and gameplay for current-generation platforms.

    • Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (N64/PC, 1997) – Players step into the shoes of a time-traveling warrior battling the evil Campaigner across a prehistoric world to collect the pieces of the shattered Chronoscepter.

    • Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (N64/PC, 1998) – After defeating the Campaigner, Turok faces a new threat, the Primagen, who seeks to merge Earth with the Netherworld.

    • Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion (N64/PC, 1999) – Siblings Joseph and Danielle Fireseed take up the fight to stop the dark entity known as Oblivion and its followers, the Flesh Eaters, after their brother’s disappearance during the events of Turok 2.

While the remastered editions of Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil have previously received physical releases on modern platforms, this upcoming bundle marks the debut of Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered in physical form. For the first time, fans can own the entire remastered trilogy on a single cartridge or disc — with no mention of additional downloads required. While that detail remains unconfirmed, Nightdive’s strong track record with complete physical editions suggests this will be a true all-in-one release, a rarity in today’s increasingly digital landscape.

Fans can pre-order the game now through Atari’s official website, as well as major retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart. The Turok Trilogy Bundle launches on October 31, 2025, with a suggested retail price of $49.99.

My Thoughts

As someone who played Turok: Dinosaur Hunter on the N64 back in 1997, it’s exciting to see the full trilogy getting a proper physical release. In an era where most game discs are little more than glorified download keys, Nightdive Studios continues to stand out by delivering complete, on-disc experiences. Their work on the Star Wars Dark Forces Remaster, which even included an unfinished playable level, shows they understand what makes a physical edition special. With Turok 3 getting its first-ever physical release, this bundle feels like a true celebration of the series and a big win for collectors and preservationists alike. I’ll definitely be picking this up, and I’m leaning toward the Switch version. Playing these remasters on a portable system will be great for on-the-go gaming, and having them on a Nintendo platform (just like the originals) is a perfect full-circle moment.
