“Where Winds Meet” Final Test Confirmed for July 25th
Where Winds Meet, developed by Everstone Studio, is an open-world action-adventure RPG grounded in the Wuxia tradition. The game’s final closed beta test runs from July 24th to July 30th, 2025 (PDT). It will be available globally on PC and PlayStation 5. Registration is open now through July 24th. PC players can sign up on Steam by completing a short survey for a chance to receive a beta key.
The game is set during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Period of Chinese history. Players take on the role of a young sword master, uncovering their identity while exploring a dynamic world shaped by history and legend. This test introduces a new region called Kaifeng. The city is vast, with over one million square meters to explore. It offers a wide range of settings, including palaces, markets, slums, and a mysterious ghost market.
Kaifeng joins previously available countryside and wilderness zones. Players will interact with more than 10,000 NPCs, each capable of shaping the journey in unexpected ways. Activities include story quests, classic Chinese pastimes, and martial arts combat. Choices made during the adventure will influence how the world changes over time. The beta will support multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese.

My Thoughts
The graphics in the trailer are simply gorgeous, and the set design looks equally impressive. I’m a fan of first-person action-adventure games, and Where Winds Meet seems like it will offer a lot to sink into. I’d expect a mix of main objectives, side quests, and all kinds of achievables scattered throughout the world, which is exactly the kind of experience I enjoy.
