Saber Teases Jurassic Park: Survival Ahead of Gamescom
Saber Interactive has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Jurassic Park: Survival, just ahead of Gamescom coming next weekend in Cologne, Germany. While the studio won’t be on-site at the event, this teaser aims to build excitement among gamers leading into the festivities.
Hold Onto Your Butts
Developed by Saber Interactive and published in collaboration with NBCUniversal, Jurassic Park: Survival is a first-person action survival title that brings the iconic island to life like never before. Taking place one day after the events of the first film, players will get to explore a fully realized Isla Nublar, teeming with dinosaurs, hidden dangers, and familiar locations. You play as Dr. Maya Joshi, an InGen scientist left behind on the island as she survives the chaos and navigates the aftermath of the park’s catastrophic failure.
Every detail matters. Saber has been working hand-in-hand with Universal to craft an immersive, authentic Jurassic Park experience fans have dreamed of for decades. The development team has gone through painstaking lengths to recreate iconic locations and props from the 1993 Steven Spielberg classic, all rendered in stunning detail. Players can expect to revisit these familiar spots while also discovering new landmarks and surprises never seen before.

My Thoughts
As a long-time Jurassic Park fan, this absolutely appeals to me. This game has been over 20 years in the making, originally developed for the PlayStation 2 and original Xbox back in late 2001. That version was based on the most recent film at the time, Jurassic Park III, but was ultimately cancelled. Now, all these years later, it’s getting a new lease on life being rewritten to honor the legacy of the original film. Honestly, I’d almost forgotten this game was in development, as my attention has mostly been on the park management series Jurassic World Evolution, with its third installment releasing this October.
