“Wild Blue” Barrel Rolls into Gamescom with Gameplay First Look
The first look at Wild Blue gameplay was revealed during the Future Games Show at gamescom 2025, giving players a glimpse of Bowie Stray and the Blue Bombers as they strapped into their Cloudcutters to battle Grimclaw’s relentless forces. Now, developer and publisher Chuhai Labs has released an extended trailer that showcases even more high-octane action. Inspired by classic on-rails flying adventures, Wild Blue invites players to soar across deserts, frozen tundras, and other breathtaking environments while fighting off waves of enemies in cinematic aerial combat.
Although the release date is TBD, Wild Blue will offer an experience designed for both newcomers and veterans of the genre. With branching mission paths and a striking visual style, the game captures the thrill of fast-paced flight while paying homage to arcade classics. Players can already add Wild Blue to their Steam wishlist as they await its release.

My Thoughts
I believe our very own Scott Clark said it best: “It reminds me so much of StarFox!” Watch the trailer and you’ll see exactly what he means. The modern cel-shaded graphics are sharp, making the on-rails combat feel fluid and stylish. Best of all, you won’t lose track of enemies against the backgrounds here.
Wild Blue is already one of my most anticipated games of (assumed) 2026. I may have to battle Scott for the review rights. He’ll probably win, but I’m still going to try!
Enjoy the trailer, it’s fantastic!
