Space Chef Launches This October on PC and Consoles
Leading UK publisher Kwalee and independent Swedish developer BlueGooGames have officially announced the release date for their upcoming cooking adventure Space Chef, arriving October 28, 2025 on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The announcement was paired with a brand-new gameplay trailer showcasing the game’s quirky, intergalactic charm complete with alien creatures, strange flora, and a buffet of exotic ingredients from across the cosmos.
In Space Chef, players step into the role of a culinary explorer serving hungry customers across the Horseshoe Nebula. Combining restaurant management, light survival RPG elements, and life sim gameplay, it challenges aspiring chefs to hunt for ingredients on dangerous alien planets, cook up over 140 unique dishes using 100+ cosmic ingredients, and customize their space-trailer restaurant into a galactic hotspot.
The journey isn’t just about perfect plating. Players will encounter space pirates, derelict stations, and rival restaurateurs while upgrading their ship, gear, and kitchen to reach the pinnacle of Astronomical Culinary Excellence. With over 180 alien creatures and plants, 100+ craftable upgrades, and a colorful cast of characters (including Zoe the scrap dealer and the definitely-not-alien bartender Zlurka), Space Chef promises an adventure that’s as flavorful as it is fun.
For those eager to get a taste before launch, a free demo is available now on Steam.

My Thoughts
I opened the press release because of the title. Space Chef sounds like a lot of fun. Then I read about it, and okay, it had my attention. Finally, I watched the trailer, and now I’m getting Dave the Diver meets Diner Dash meets Lake vibes. The stellar concept mixed with crisp graphics puts Space Chef firmly on my list of anticipated games. Check out the trailer and see if you agree!
