Retro-Inspired Shooter “Beneath” Celebrates Its Upcoming October 27th Launch!
Award-winning publisher Wired Productions and developer Camel 101 have revealed the official launch trailer for Beneath. The game releases on PC October 27, followed by PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 28. It will also be available on Steam, Epic Store, and GOG for £13.59 / €16.59 / $16.59, featuring a 15% launch discount for a limited time. After earning high praise during Steam Next Fest, this retro-inspired first-person shooter now invites players into the depths of the ocean for a Lovecraftian survival horror experience.
In Beneath, players step into the boots of diver Noah Quinn. His expedition quickly spirals into terror after he becomes trapped underwater with an ancient, malevolent force. As supplies dwindle and psychological pressure mounts, Noah must fight grotesque creatures and confront his own sanity. Along the way, he uncovers a conspiracy that threatens humanity itself. Consequently, each encounter grows more intense as survival becomes the only goal.
Furthermore, Beneath combines fast-paced combat with a chilling atmosphere. Every moment beneath the waves feels both dangerous and immersive. From its haunting sound design to its intricate level detail, the game is designed to pull players deep into its world.

My Thoughts
When you say “Lovecraftian” and “first-person shooter” and “underwater” in the same sentence, you’ve got my attention! Beneath brings imagery that instantly reminds me of Dead Space and the best parts of The Callisto Protocol. Moreover, considering the listed price, I don’t think Beneath will overstay its welcome. Get in, have a blast, and roll credits. I’ve already added it to my wish list. So, how about you? Check out the trailer below!
