Resident Evil Requiem Kicks Off Bone-Chilling Pre-Orders
Capcom has officially opened pre-orders for Resident Evil Requiem, the newest entry in its acclaimed survival horror franchise. Developed and published by Capcom, the game will release on February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and, for the first time ever, the Epic Games Store, as well as Nintendo Switch 2. All pre-orders include Grace’s “Apocalypse” costume as a bonus.
The “Road to Requiem” showcase, hosted by Maggie Robertson (the voice of Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village), offered fans a retrospective on the series’ long history from the 1998 Raccoon City Incident to the horrors leading into this new chapter.
Players can experience Resident Evil Requiem in several ways, including the Premium Steelbook Edition, which bundles the full game, Deluxe Edition content, and a limited lenticular card. On launch day, Nintendo Switch 2 owners can also pick up Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, both featuring post-story content and additional modes. A special Resident Evil Generation Pack will combine all three titles in one terrifying collection.
Capcom promises even more spine-tingling updates leading up to Resident Evil Requiem’s release in February 2026.

My Thoughts
This is how you roll out a game! Capcom delivered a history lesson on the Resident Evil timeline, built excitement for the upcoming release, and threw in some eye-catching pre-order bonuses like Fortnite content and Amiibos. Plus, it’s the first time the series is coming to the Epic Games Store. Throughout the presentation, we got tantalizing glimpses of Resident Evil: Requiem before it all wrapped up with a thrilling trailer.
The Switch 2 Pro Controller looks incredible, and for players like me, the earlier games being on sale is the perfect excuse to get caught up! I haven’t played a Resident Evil title in ages, so I’m not even sure where to start.
Check out the wonderful 10 minute program “Road to Requiem” below starring Maggie Robertson who performed the voice for the “goddess” (her words) Alcina Dimitrescu. It’s worth every second.
