The Classic Returns – Ghost Master: Resurrection Materialises in March 2026

Ghost Master: Resurrection, developed by Mechano Story Studio, brings the cult classic supernatural strategy puzzle game back to life in March 2026. The game launches digitally on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, with physical editions arriving for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Strategy First publishes the PC version, which is available now through Steam Early Access and will reach its full V1.0 release alongside the console launch.

U&I Entertainment is publishing the physical editions which are available to pre-order. They include four DLC packs filled with new levels, modes, and features. The packs are titled Until Dawn, Ghosts Adrift, Ghostly Defence, and Ashes and Abyss. Players who go digital on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch will automatically receive the first two DLC packs.

This modern resurrection offers a complete overhaul with updated visuals, a new engine, and refined mechanics. Players take command of a playful roster of specters and ghouls to scare the residents of Gravenville while solving puzzles, revealing secrets, and exploring the game’s supernatural humour.

Digital console wishlists will open soon. PC players can join the haunt early with the Steam Early Access version published by Strategy First.

What We Can Expect

  • Command Your Army of Spirits: Summon and control over a dozen types of ghosts, each with distinct personalities, powers, and haunting styles, now enhanced with modern AI and stunning detail.
  • Terrorize Gravenville: Spread supernatural mayhem across 11 intricately reimagined locations, from asylums and sorority houses to secret labs and police stations, each packed with new scares and secrets.
  • Solve, Scare, and Strategise: Combine clever puzzle-solving with tactical haunting to complete multi-branching missions, discover hidden content, and unlock the mysteries of the afterlife.
  • Remade for a New Generation: Experience a haunting reborn through an all-new engine, modern visuals, refined gameplay systems, and expanded story elements that respect the legacy while inviting new fans to the fold.

My Thoughts

Even though Deck of Haunts was a satisfactory you-play-the-ghost haunted house game, I am always searching for something that brings back the feeling of Haunting Starring Polterguy on the Sega Genesis. Ghost Master: Resurrection looks a little unpolished on the surface, but it still delivers a sense of fun. The physical editions include several DLC packs, which is a nice bonus for collectors. I am looking forward to giving this one a try, especially since it lets you command a playful roster of specters and ghouls throughout Gravenville. Check out the trailer below.
