Luna Abyss Reveals Atmospheric New Trailer

Luna Abyss, developed by Kwalee Labs and published by Kwalee, received a new atmospheric trailer titled “The Eye Has Opened,” giving players a closer look at its dark tone and grim world. This first person bullet hell action adventure follows Fawkes, a prisoner trapped on the mimic moon Luna, who becomes entangled in a cryptic prophecy while exploring the abyss beneath the surface. The demo on Steam introduces several early locations where players confront corrupted souls and cosmic horrors. Luna Abyss is set to launch in 2026 for PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, along with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

As part of the story, players are sentenced to descend into a sprawling derelict megastructure and recover lost technology while being monitored by an artificial prison guard named Aylin. The ancient ruins whisper secrets tied to the fallen city of Greymont, the Scourge, and the teachings of the All Father, urging players deeper into a mysterious and doomed world. The journey blends fluid first person platforming with intense bullet hell combat, forcing players to sprint, jump, dash, and adapt as they confront twisted enemies throughout the abyss.

What We Can Expect

• Story driven exploration across the mimic moon Luna, filled with ancient ruins and cosmic mysteries.
• Fast paced first person platforming with sprinting, jumping, and dashing through a massive alien structure.
• Bullet hell combat that demands constant movement, quick reactions, and mastery of weapons and tools.

My Thoughts

I can see why Relle from The Gaming Outsider review crew is drawn to this game. A first person shooter set in space with creepy monster enemies and a well designed environment checks a lot of boxes for a memorable experience. Then the trailer hits me with two simple words: cosmic horrors. Let’s go. I hope Relle gets a chance to review the game and share his thoughts, but even if he does not, you can bet I will be trying Luna Abyss for myself. Check out the trailer below.
