Resident Evil Showcase Uncovers a Deeper Look at the Terror and Action of Resident Evil Requiem!
Resident Evil Requiem is an upcoming survival horror and action title developed and published by Capcom, launching worldwide on February 27th, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and GeForce NOW. Revealed during the latest Resident Evil Showcase, the game stars dual protagonists Leon Kennedy and FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, both playable in first-person or third-person perspective with the ability to switch views at any time. The story blends intense combat and classic survival horror as Leon investigates a string of suspicious deaths using firearms, close-quarters combat, and an all-new hatchet, while Grace fights to survive a zombie-infested sanatorium where limited resources, crafting decisions, and careful enemy avoidance are critical. Players will uncover the mystery behind Elpis, a central thread connecting Grace’s past, the death of her mother Alyssa Ashcroft, and Leon’s involvement.
Resident Evil Requiem features multiple difficulty options, including a more accessible Casual mode and a Classic-inspired Standard mode that emphasizes tension through resource management and Ink Ribbon saves when playing as Grace. The game introduces zombies with lingering behavioral obsessions from their former lives, creating opportunities for players to outmaneuver them. On the technical side, the PC version supports NVIDIA DLSS 4 and path tracing, while GeForce NOW allows play across lower-spec PCs, mobile devices, and supported televisions with a separate subscription. The showcase also revealed limited-edition collaborations with Hamilton, featuring two watch models worn by Leon and Grace, and Porsche, highlighted by a custom Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT that appears in-game as Leon’s vehicle.

My Thoughts
Who isn’t excited for Resident Evil Requiem? There are multiple people at my work who talk about the game pretty frequently. They have an Umbrella Corporation background on their PCs. Scott specifically requested that we get this info out to our readers and listeners. It’s sure to be a major discussion point in the late February episode and possibly a Game of the Year candidate for a few of us. The Showcase is below for your viewing pleasure. Are you going to play it?
