Build a Moon Colony — and Keep the Board Happy — In RTS Possible One: Lunar Industries

Upstairs Games recently announced Possible One: Lunar Industries, a realistic colony management RTS developed and published by Upstairs Games. Scheduled for release on PC, this title tasks players with establishing a lunar colony using proven real-world technologies while balancing the harsh requirements of survival with the demands of profitability. You act as the leader on the ground, excavating resources and precious metals through complex mining operations to satisfy a board of directors back on Earth. As the operation grows, you must lay the foundations for housing, laboratories, and manufacturing plants to support an expanding lunar industry.

The simulation focuses heavily on grounded strategic systems and realistic world-building. Beyond simple construction, you have to manage the physiological and psychological dangers of life on the Moon, including radiation exposure, low-gravity living, and the isolation of your crew. Success allows you to unlock new technologies and upgrades, though you must constantly navigate the political and economic realities of space trade. Possible One: Lunar Industries aims to provide a deep, survival-focused experience for space simulator fans when it launches on PC; The demo arrives in April 2026.

My Thoughts

I’ve played games like this before, and I am a big fan of the management genre. I have tackled sims set in dystopian realities, manufacturing plants, and even hell itself. However, the setting I have wanted to play the most is space, and it looks like they have served that dream up on a platter. I especially appreciate the grounded approach here. I prefer using real-world technology over far-fetched sci-fi, as it makes the stakes feel much more tangible. My main hope now is that it will be compatible with the Steam Deck or my Xbox Rog Ally. I am looking forward to Possible One: Lunar Industries, how about you? Check out the trailer below.
