Chrono Trigger Writer’s New JRPG “Another Eden Begins” Hits Switch, PC this Summer
Wright Flyer Studios revealed Another Eden Begins during the Nintendo Direct on February 5th. This time-traveling JRPG will launch globally in summer 2026. The developer and publisher confirmed the game for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Studio Prisma leads the development under RPG veteran Masato Kato.
This new entry features a fresh cast of characters and a story-rich multiverse. The main story will include full English voiceovers for the first time. Players can explore a branching narrative with ten different endings. A New Game Plus mode even allows a new character to join the main story. This opens up entirely new narrative threads for players to discover.
The game features enhanced graphics designed for both Nintendo Switch consoles. Legendary composer Yasunori Mitsuda provides a gorgeous main theme for the adventure. Players will navigate complex quests and deepen bonds with their battle companions. The refined battle system aims to shape the destiny of the multiverse.

My Thoughts
I am absolutely thrilled about this announcement! Masato Kato and Yasunori Mitsuda together again is a dream come true for any fan of the genre. I have never been a big fan of turn-based games, but the history behind this team is undeniable. This duo helped define classics like Chrono Trigger and Xenogears.
I actually missed out on Chrono Trigger when it first launched because of my dislike for JRPGs. However, the incredible creative talent involved here makes me want to give this one a real shot. Another Eden Begins looks like the perfect entry point to see what I have been missing. It is high on my list for summer 2026!
Check out this awesome looking trailer!
