Independent developer SIDRALGAMES has partnered with SelectaPlay and Entalto Publishing to officially reveal HYPERWIRED, a thrilling 2D roguelike scheduled for a simultaneous global launch in summer 2026. The title is currently slated for PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Set in a galaxy plunged into darkness, the game redefines the top down shooter with a unique tethered core mechanic where players must physically plug their ships into power sockets to recharge weapons. While connected, pilots gain immense firepower but are restricted by the length of their cable, forcing a tactical balance between staying powered and dodging relentless enemy swarms. The experience features over 10 distinct ships, 40+ upgrades, and more than 250 bullet modifier combinations to help players navigate procedurally generated sectors and defeat massive bosses.

“Man, this looks like such a Scott Clark game.” That was the message that arrived from our Editor-in-Chief with this press release, and the accuracy is truly amazing! HYPERWIRED looks like a “Shmeverywhere” with a twist that will certainly challenge gamers everywhere. The tethering is a nifty fresh challenge.
