RedOctane Games Announces Stage Tour for PC and Consoles
At IGN Live 2026, publisher and developer RedOctane Games unveiled the latest trailer for Stage Tour. This upcoming 5-fret rhythm game focuses heavily on music, community, and the shared energy of live performance. To build this project, the studio collaborated with co-development partners Eidos-Montréal and Third Kind Games. Consequently, the team officially scheduled the release for Holiday 2026 on PC and consoles. They will also announce specific console platforms later this summer. Furthermore, the new developer spotlight trailer highlighted how rhythm game veterans and community creators are actively shaping the experience.
Additionally, the title introduces a fresh, progression-driven Campaign Mode inspired by modern roguelites. Each campaign run features different setlists, gameplay modifiers, and branching paths where your loadout choices determine your success. Players can perform solo or online with friends using guitars, drums, vocals, keyboards, or standard controllers. To support these features, RedOctane Games partnered with Gibson to launch a purpose-built hardware lineup. This gear includes an official Kramer guitar controller and a modular drum kit. Finally, attendees at the live event can experience an early taste of the licensed soundtrack through an exclusive hands-on closed alpha demo.

My Thoughts
I was already intrigued by Stage Tour. My intent to purchase anything similar to Guitar Hero is strong. Then I saw the announced tracklist. Extreme is one of my favorite bands from the 90s. While I am not a huge Red Hot Chili Peppers fan, their musical craftsmanship will undoubtedly shine on a game like this.
But then, the developers threw in my favorite song from the past few years: “Square Hammer” by Ghost. That instantly sealed the deal. The partnerships with massive musical companies like Gibson, Epiphone, and Kramer are just icing on this awesome cake. I cannot wait for the holidays.
