Design and Build Quality

Gunnar collaborated directly with CD Projekt Red for the design of these glasses, and it shows. The frames perfectly capture the retro-futuristic, gritty aesthetic of Night City. They feature a stainless steel bracket design, adjustable nose pads, and subtle Cyberpunk 2077 branding that feels authentic without being overly obnoxious.

Now my favorite aspect, often overlooked by glasses manufacturers, is that because they are designed specifically for gamers, the temples are relatively flat. This is a massive plus, as it prevents the frames from digging into the sides of your head when you are wearing a heavy gaming headset for hours on end.

Performance and Eye Comfort

Equipped with Gunnar’s signature Amber lenses, these glasses are built to block 65% of harmful blue light and 100% of UV light. If you suffer from dry eyes, headaches, or blurred vision after long gaming sessions, this lens technology genuinely helps relax the ciliary muscles in your eyes. They also feature an anti-reflective coating that cuts down on screen glare.

However, the Amber tint comes with a trade-off. It casts a heavy, warm yellow hue over everything you look at. While this fits the neon-drenched vibe of Cyberpunk, it will distort color accuracy, making them a poor choice if you also do graphic design or video editing on the same monitor.

Ultimately, Gunnar’s Cyberpunk 2077 glasses are an excellent addition to any setup, particularly ones designed for long gaming sessions, provided you don’t mind seeing Night City through a yellow filter.
