Anraga Studios and The Farm 51 Announce Rescue Drone Simulator: Second Chance
Anraga Studios and The Farm 51 have announced Rescue Drone Simulator: Second Chance. This story-driven rescue simulator arrives in Q1 2027 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Set in a believable near future with an analog ’80s and ’90s industrial aesthetic, the game puts you behind the controls of specialized physical drones. You will deploy into extreme environments, natural disasters, and hazardous failure zones where human rescuers cannot safely tread.
Art director Wojciech Pazdur (Painkiller, Chernobylite) and game director Artur Fojcik (Get Even) lead the team. Together, they fuse realistic flight physics with a deeply human narrative. The story follows a squad of veteran rescue specialists. Physical injuries, age, or past traumas prevent them from performing field duties in traditional ways. Armed with cutting-edge drone technology, these specialists get a second chance to use their expertise from a safe distance as they race against time and harsh weather to save lives.
What We Can Expect
-
Four Drones, Four Unique Roles: Command specialized units. This includes a Rescue Drone for tracking civilian cell signals, a Firefighting Drone for extinguishing blazes, a Police Drone for crowd control and non-lethal support, and an Interceptor Drone for neutralizing airborne threats.
-
Deep Fleet Customization: Modify motors, propellers, batteries, wiring, and cooling systems in the workshop to directly alter flight speed, thrust, durability, and battery life.
-
Story-Driven 10-15 Hour Campaign: Experience a four-act thriller spanning diverse locations like forests, coastal regions, urban centers, and industrial districts. Climate anomalies and disasters reveal a larger interconnected crisis.
-
Dual Control Modes: Choose between Simulator mode for realistic flight physics and stick mapping. Arcade mode with flight assistance is available for accessible, fast-paced control.
-
Analog Sci-Fi Atmosphere: Immerse yourself in industrial spaces, physical control panels, and a synth-driven retro soundtrack composed by Wojciech Pazdur.
My Thoughts
The gameplay looks intense and fun, and the graphics are seriously impressive. Having non-stop action where you save lives in multiple different ways ensures the excitement stays steady throughout the campaign. I also love that you can customize your drones in the workshop to fine-tune your approach for every disaster scenario. Q1 2027 is already looking bright with this title on the horizon. I cannot wait to jump into the cockpit and test my piloting skills!
