Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) 2015 speed runs throughout the week for charity
The Summer variant of the bi-annual ‘Games Done Quick’ video game speedrun marathon for charity began this weekend. Twice a year, gamers gather together to complete a list of video games as fast as they can while livestreaming their gameplay via Twitch for an entire week, 24 hours a day. Even though watching these dedicated gamers speed and glitch their way through various games is pretty miraculous and entertaining, the best aspect of the whole event is to raise money for charity. This week, all funds earned throughout the event goes to ‘Doctors without Borders’, an organization that helps treat victims of natural disasters, military/guerrilla conflicts, and epidemics in countries all over the world.
