Ep 227 | Interview with Tom Kalinske, Former CEO of SEGA

For our last episode of 2018, we’re forgoing our usual format and just giving you a special interview. Scott and Chris. B. sat down with Tom Kalinske, the former CEO of Sega to chat about his experience in the game industry. If you’ve read Console Wars, you’ll recognize his name for sure. He was also the CEO for Mattel and Matchbox and was responsible for keeping Hot Wheels and Barbie afloat. It’s a very inspiring conversation, just don’t mind the less-than-perfect audio from Tom’s end. Enjoy!

His first console was the Atari 2600 back in the early 80’s, and his passion for the hobby shines through his excitement and wish to share his experiences with anyone who will listen. Scott began his podcasting career with “The Official Thread Podcast”, which was dedicated to news, impressions, and general topics about the subject of video games.
