May and June Game Giveaways from The Gaming Outsider

Each month, we here at The Gaming Outsider like to give back to our community with giveaways to the community. Due to time constraints, I wasn’t able to put together a giveaway for the month of May, so it’s time to make it up to all of you. Below you’ll see details for giveaways for both May and June. This time around, we’re giving away a physical Switch game as well as three digital indie titles.

There’s one caveat this time around: listeners of The Gaming Outsider Podcast are eligible to win. You’ll have to have listened to Episode 401 of the show to be able to answer a question on each form below.

You can read descriptions of each below, which includes links to our coverage of each title. But if you want to jump right into the action, here are links to each individual game giveaway.

Super Mario Strikers | Nintendo Switch

Blast Brigade  | Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, PC

Rogue Legacy 2 | Xbox, PC

Rise of the Third Power | Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, PC

Mario Strikers: Battle League

Tackle, pass, and score in this action-packed sport where anything goes!

Introducing Strike, a 5-on-5, soccer-like sport with no rules—do whatever it takes to win! Get gritty and try to score the most goals by tackling enemies, using items, and pulling off score-boosting Hyper Strikes.

You can hear me discuss my early impressions of the game on Episode 400, which will publish on Thursday.

Blast Brigade vs. The Evil Legion of Dr. Cread

Blast Brigade vs the Evil Legion of Dr. Cread

Blast Brigade vs. The Evil Legion of Dr. Cread is a 2D metroidvania adventure inspired by the popcorn-chomping thrills of ’80s action flicks. Explore and backtrack through a colorful comic-style world, using your platforming skills, puzzle-solving wits, and an explosive arsenal of weapons and abilities to save the world!

If you’d like to hear my impressions of the game, check out my written review or listen to Episode 393 of The Gaming Outsider Podcast around the 34:52 time stamp.

Rogue Legacy 2

Rogue Legacy 2

Rogue Legacy 2 is what you’d get if you mashed Rogue Legacy and a sequel together. Every time you die, your children will succeed you, and each child is unique. Your daughter might be a Colourblind Archer, and your son could be a Pacifistic Chef. Either way, one of them is getting conscripted.

To hear my impressions of this game, be sure to listen to Episode 394 of The Gaming Outsider Podcast around the 44:13 time stamp.

Rise of the Third Power

Rise of the Third Power

Rise of the Third Power is a retro-themed, console-style roleplaying game, loosely based on the political climate of Europe in the late 1930’s. The story takes place in the land of Rin during the height of the Age of Sail, following the events that would lead to the greatest war in human history.

To hear impressions of the game, check out Relle’s written review, or hear his discussion with me on Episode 385. You can hear that conversation start around the 1:04:13 time stamp. You can also hear me interview the developer of the game on Episode 386 at the 10:57 times stamp.
