Turbo Golf Racing | Early Access PC Preview
Turbo Golf Racing has been a fun game and is working its way into my log to play when I need to relax. It’s a game that is working into my game catalog to just take it easy for myself. The courses are gorgeous and developed, so even though it wasn’t PGA, I still felt like I was on the actual golf course. The button configuration is easy to manage. The display of the course is fun. This game can be challenging but enjoyable. For multiplayer, I had little time to play but what I could manage to squeak in was FUN!
A Huge start for the Game
I look forward to telling you what I have learned about this game from the creators and minds of Hugecalf Studios. The game has been through a couple of betas, and both have been fun to play. At the same time, racing across the golf course, I got to experience the golf ranges. Not only was the fairway an easy way for the ball to roll across the field, but when you hit the rough or the sand traps, it made you feel like you should work on your swing more often. These courses need to have water hazards. And please be careful of hitting the ball off the course, as it would make you pay for both speed and time for what it did. Yes, that does mean you have a penalty, but not as severe as you would think.
E for Easy Button configuration
The button configuration is easy to manage with its default settings. Go into the settings and play around until you find what makes you comfortable. Play a few practice rounds offline with those button configurations and see how it works for you. I modified the button configuration to make it easier for myself. Playing at first, I did use the basic default controls but wasn’t feeling it. Because of the hours I played with Rocket League, my hands and memory are used to a specific structure.
Either Race or be Precise with it
Turbo Golf Racing’s courses are not to be your regular golf course. There are turns, obstacles, and easy ways to traverse the paths. On the holes, they do have ways for you to speed up and hit the ball faster, and they also have these loops you can hit the ball through that send it flying towards the hole even further than how you can hit it. But with this beta build soon to be released, I look forward to seeing the other obstacles they put on the courses.
Let the fun begin!
Now playing some of the multiplayer was excellent and kind of a trip. You have obstacles, like playing in a single-player format and trying to make it past the rough and sand traps. They have missiles to lock onto the closest player to slow them down to a stop, and they do a flip in the air when it hits them, not a significant flip, but a small noticeable one. I hope that, yes, with this being a beta build, the missiles were excellent, but let us add other things down the road. Like some way to throw off your opponent. Like how they hit the ball, and maybe a couple of missiles if you are behind the pack to help catch up and mess up everyone else.
Turbo Golf Racing is a new way to play golf, and I can’t wait to see it. The developers for this game are doing a phenomenal job with it, and I look forward to its release and seeing how far they can take this. I want to play season one and work on my time not only against the opponents but as well against my friends.
