New Updates and Trailer for MindsEye from Build a Rocket Boy

MindsEye, developed by Build A Rocket Boy and published by IOI Partners, launches June 10, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. This narrative-driven action-adventure thriller follows Jacob Diaz, a former soldier grappling with fractured memories tied to his MindsEye neural implant, as he uncovers a conspiracy involving rogue AI, military overreach, and a corporate threat to humanity. Set in the near-future city of Redrock, the game offers a cinematic, story-rich campaign built on Unreal Engine 5, showcasing top-tier visuals and immersive gameplay.

A standout feature is the proprietary Game Creation System, allowing players to craft missions and scenarios using in-game assets. The same tool used by the developers enables an ongoing stream of studio-created and community-driven content. Priced at $59.99 for the Standard Edition, MindsEye also offers a Deluxe Edition with extra content including a Premium Pass and the “Exotic Pack.” With explosive combat, intense driving sequences, and endless creative potential, MindsEye is shaping up to be a landmark release in 2025.

What We Can Expect

  • Continuous Studio Support and Content
Monthly updates from Build A Rocket Boy will add fresh missions, assets, and challenges, ensuring MindsEye remains a living, evolving platform.
  • Affordable AAA Value
At $59.99, the Standard Edition undercuts the typical AAA price point while still offering a rich, premium experience, making it more accessible to a broader audience.

My Thoughts

I was already excited to get my hands on MindsEye. It has been on my must-buy list ever since the first news article was published. But this new trailer only strengthens my desire to play! The driving scenarios show off both chasing and being chased, which instantly reminded me of Driver on the old PSOne. Then there are drones to fly and even space shuttles to control. All of that is on top of intense over-the-shoulder shooter moments. This looks like a game that will keep us entertained from beginning to end. Who’s with me? If the six minute trailer below is any indication, MindsEye is likely to end up on my Game of the Year list.
