Developer imaginarylab has announced the release date for its narrative-driven sci-fi adventure, Whirlight – No Time To Trip. The game is set to launch on PC via Steam on May 14th, 2026, with console versions for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X/S following in Q3 2026. Published by imaginarylab, the title follows the eccentric inventor Hector and his resourceful ally Margaret as they navigate fractured timelines and inventive puzzles.
The adventure features a distinctive visual identity, combining expressive 2D animated characters with pre-rendered 3D environments delivered in 4K resolution. Players will explore over 100 locations across various eras, uncovering a story filled with humor, mystery, and emotional moments. The gameplay utilizes classic point-and-click mechanics to solve logic-based challenges as reality begins to unravel around the protagonists.

My Thoughts
I played a demo version of Whirlight – No Time To Trip a few months ago. In addition, Tomas Becks wrote about his interview with the founder of imaginarylab! It was charming with just the right amount of challenge. The voice acting was superb, and the point-and-click gameplay was exactly what fans of the genre will adore. I cannot wait to see how the full game expands on those time-bending mechanics when it arrives this May!
