The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival Beat-‘Em-Up Announced for PC and Consoles
Developer and publisher TRAILMARK Games is partnering with AMC Global Media to bring The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival to fans. This new single-player beat-’em-up is coming soon to Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch systems. Although the studio has not announced a specific release date, you can play a demo on Steam right now. Furthermore, the campaign reimagines the show’s intense “All-Out War” storyline, where Rick fights Negan’s ruthless Saviors.
The game uses retro pixel-art visuals to bring iconic locations like Alexandria and Hilltop to life. Additionally, you can unleash devastating finishers using signature gear like Michonne’s katana or Rick’s magnum. You must survive by clearing out walker swarms and dangerous human strongholds. Finally, the arcade-style combat offers multiple difficulty levels, including an optional easy mode for casual play.
What We Can Expect
- Hard-Hitting Beat-’em-up Combat: Use brutal melee abilities, crowd-clearing ranged attacks, or a mix of the two in fast-paced skirmishes. Enjoy responsive, crisp, and satisfying fighting gameplay while surviving the apocalypse.
- Overwhelming Walker Swarms & Ruthless Enemies: Battle through creeping armies of the undead and dangerous gangs of Saviors that force you to fight for every inch of ground and adapt as new threats emerge.
- Face Iconic Bosses: Take on powerful, fan-favorite walkers like Winslow, the Well Walker, and more. The Saviors provide their own challenges as you throw down with Negan and Simon in intense, multi-phase boss battles that test your skill, strategy, and killer instincts.
- Replayable Arcade Challenge: Master each character’s moveset and tackle multiple difficulty levels in an experience built for repeat runs and escalating challenges. Or jump in with an optional Easy Mode for casual play.
My Thoughts
As a big fan of the early seasons of the television series, seeing the original crew back together instantly hits a nostalgic chord for me. The presentation here looks fantastic, especially with the gorgeous retro pixel art and comic book style aesthetics that perfectly suit the grim tone of the universe. Beyond the great look, the game drops players right into the intense All-Out War storyline to battle against Negan’s Saviors. With a playable demo officially live on Steam today, brawler fans can jump right in to test out the distinct, hard-hitting movesets for iconic characters like Rick, Daryl, and Michonne.
