Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United Caught Our Attention

Discovering Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United feels like a dream come true for classic RPG enthusiasts. The transition to full HD visuals looks gorgeous. Keeping Kenji Ito on board to supervise the newly arranged musical compositions guarantees the soundtrack will be phenomenal. Furthermore, the signature Freeform Scenario system ensures that choosing between the eight distinct heroes will yield a completely unique adventure every single time. It is easily one of Relle’s (one of our writers) most anticipated releases heading into early 2027!

My Other Thoughts

This recent offering from Square Enix leans heavily into nostalgia. Bringing Crisis Core to the Nintendo Switch 2 is a great way to prep players for the final installment of the Remake trilogy. Meanwhile, getting a playable demo for Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World with carry-over monster data is a brilliant consumer-friendly move. Seeing Torneko’s Mystery Dungeon finally launch outside of Japan as a gorgeous HD remaster feels like a historic moment for classic roguelike fans. It is an incredible time to be an RPG fan!
