Xbox Partner Showcase Summer 2026

Microsoft needed a win today with their Xbox Showcase that took place at noon CST. They boasted 25 games to be shown, and we’ve got them all below along with a trailer for each. Check them out for yourself.

Gears of War: E-Day

The much-anticipated prequel finally has a release date. It will come to Xbox on October 6th, including Game Pass on Day One. The interesting thing to note with this announcement is the fact that it will be an Xbox console exclusive, according to Asha Sharma herself. The game is available for preorder on Steam, however.

A deep dive of Gears of War: E-Day took place after the main presentation which showed a lot more of the game. What stood out to me the most is a 12-player horde mode!

Fable

The news dropped last week that Fable was being pushed back, but now we have the official release date of February 23rd, 2027. We also got to see a closer look at the game, and it’s apparent that the sense of humor is definitely present.

Halo: Campaign Evolved

Gears may be a console exclusive, but Halo: Campaign Evolved will not be. That genuinely feels weird to say. This one comes out on July 28th, 2026, and you can see all of the features in the trailer below.

Resonance: Plague Tale Legacy

The next chapter in the Plague Tale universe comes to Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5 & PC on August 27th, 2026.

Persona 4 Revival

At last year’s showcase, we received a tease of this title, but now we have an official release date. Look for it on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and PC on February 18th, 2027.

State of Decay 3

This series is very popular with a lot of people, so State of Decay 3 from Undead Labs is highly-anticipated. We only have a release window of 2027 for Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and PC. It will be available on Day One via Game Pass.

Sea of Thieves | Custom Seas (Season 20)

It wouldn’t be a Microsoft showcase without an update for Sea of Thieves. Its latest season is called “Custom Seas”, and it releases on June 18th, 2026.

Metro 2039

We already knew about Metro 2039, but we got a little bit better look at it in the trailer below. It releases on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and PC sometime in February of 2027.

Bad Magpie

This was one of the first “World Premier” reveals of the show. The main character looks to be a one-winged magpie, but we have more questions than answers on this one. It comes out sometime in 2027 on Xbox and Steam.

Wolong 2: Wings of Ember

Team Ninja has a new action RPG on the horizon with Wolong 2: Wings of Ember. This sequel takes place in the aftermath of the first game and releases in early 2027 on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and PC.

Join Us

This is the third time we’ve seen this (up to) 4-player co-op game called Join Us. It’s marketed as an “action/survival cult simulator”, and it has a launch window of March 2027 for Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Senua

It might be the third game in the franchise, but there’s nary a “3” in the title. Senua looks to have beefed up the gameplay a great deal compared to the first two games. All we know in terms of release is that it will come out in 2027 on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and PC. It will also be available on Game Pass on Day One.

Fallout 76: Infestations

While some of us (*ahem*, ME) were hoping for a Fallout 3 remake announcement, we had to settle instead for an update to Fallout 76. “Infestations” is available now on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and PC.

DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations

DOOM: The Dark Ages is getting a campaign expansion. You don’t have too long to wait, as it releases on July 7th, 2026 for Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour

It was teased on social media last week, but now it’s official. Crazy Taxi: World Tour is a brand new game in the series. The trailer featured a very familiar tune, but only gave us a release window of 2027 for Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and PC.

Green Transparent 25th Anniversary Xbox: November 2026

Xbox turns 25 years old, and to celebrate, they’re offering a limited edition console. It’s translucent green, as is the controller. No word on price, but the expectation is that it won’t be cheap. Look for it to drop this November.

Age of Empires: Raiders of the North

Fans of Age of Empires IV will be happy to learn its latest expansion, “Raiders of the North” releases this fall.

Minecraft Dungeons II

The first Minecraft Dungeons was surprisingly fun (at least for me), so it shouldn’t have come as a surprise that a sequel was in the works. Minecraft Dungeons II releases on September 29th, 2026 on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and PC.

Magicians: The Devil’s Deal

One of the more novel ideas to come out of this showcase is Magicians: The Devil’s Deal. Imagine a first-person shooter where you have magical abilities. It might sound like something you’ve played before. What sets this apart is the kind of magic you’re using. Everything looks to be based on magic tricks done for performance. It looks really interesting and releases sometime in 2027 on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and PC. It will also be on Game Pass on Day One.

Valor Mortis

Valor Mortis is labeled as a “first-person soulslike” that stars the one and only Napoleon Bonaparte, who will be voiced by Vincent Cassel. It releases on September 24th, 2026.

Elder Scrolls Online | Return of the Thieves Guild

The next expansion for Elder Scrolls Online is called “Return of the Thieves Guild”, and it will release on July 6th, 2026.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 | Update 22

Later this fall, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be getting an update that includes national parks and racing. Look for it this fall.

Where Winds Meet | Hidden Mountain

Where Winds Meet is a free-to-play open world AARPG that is available right now. Its next expansion is called “Hidden Mountain” and will be available this July.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse

The next installment in the Castlevania series had a new release date of October 15th, 2026 for Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 4, and PC. Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is a 2D adventure from KONAMI, Evil Empire, and Motion Twin (the creators of Dead Cells).

Vivarium

Vivarium looks to be nostalgia heaven for fans of 90s animation, especially anime. It’s described as a cozy game with slice-of-life features, resident to deal with, and oozing with charm. Look for it in 2027 on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Persona 6

One of the bigger surprises of the show was the reveal of Persona 6 from Atlus. Although it was very much a teaser, this felt like really big news for fans of the series. No release date was given, but it will be available on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and PC with Day One access for Game Pass subscribers.

Spyro: A Realm Beyond

I take that back. A new Spyro game was probably a bigger surprise, just not as popular as PersonaSpyro: A Realm Beyond will be coming to Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC in the Spring of 2027. It will also be available on Game Pass on Day One.

Clockwork Revolution

One of the other Xbox console exclusives from this showcase was Clockwork Revolution. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this title, but it just keeps looking better and better. We still don’t have a release date, but InXile Entertainment is promising a 2027 release.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 | DMZ

We saw the reveal for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 a couple weeks ago, but this was our first look at the game’s extraction shooter mode called “DMZ”. The full game releases on October 23rd, 2026, and a play test of the game will be available at Fanatics Fest from July 16th to July 19th.

Release Date: October 23, 2026

Description: Play test (at Fanatics Fest July 16-19 2026)

Wrap-Up

There you have it. You’ve just seen everything unveiled at today’s Xbox showcase. What do you think? Did Microsoft deliver, or do they still have a way to go to catch up?
